NEXT STEPS FOR FRIENDSHIP GROUP

According to Mr. John Davis, the Friendship Group director, “We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of supporting education in our community by taking a next step.  This step is to improve retention and success not only in college, but in desired careers, as entrepreneurs, and for senior citizens like myself to remain relevant in development and quality of life of our community.  In this next step we must encourage more reinvestments in Neighborhood Technology & Entrepreneurial Centers at each organization’s clubhouse that will enable meaningful community engagement; workforce, and quality-of-life, development.” Participating Friendship Group originations are: American Legion, 2121 Main St.; Caribbean American Society of Hartford, 181 Homestead Ave.; Jamaica Ex-Police Association of CT, 126-128 Homestead Ave.; Jamaica Progressive League, 1118-1120 Albany Ave.; New England District Grand Lodge, 3363 Main St.; Sportsman Athletic Club, 2976 Main St.; West Indian Social Club of Hartford, 3340 Main St. all in Hartford, Connecticut.
